Founded by poet and educator Patty Paine, Diode Poetry Journal is an online literary journal dedicated to publishing exceptional contemporary poetry.
Since its inception, Diode has become a respected space for both established and emerging poets, bringing together voices that challenge, inspire, and expand the possibilities of modern poetry.

Law
Patty Paine is the author of Grief & Other Animals, The Sounding Machine, and three chapbooks. Her writing and visual work have appeared in Blackbird, Adroit, Gulf Stream, The Denver Quarterly, Analog Forever, Lomography, Hayden's Ferry Review, and other publications. She is the founding editor of Diode Poetry Journal, and Diode Editions.
Law Alsobrook is a retired Associate Professor of Graphic Design. He is Co-Editor and Art Director for Diode Editions and Diode Poetry Journal. His poetry and visual-textual work have been published in Diagram, Random Sample Review, The New Engagement and others. He recently authored the chapter "The Meaning of This: Performing Asemic Writing" in the 2026 book Performing Punctuation (published by Intellect and edited by Julieanna Preston and Anna Brown.)
